Artist's Comments

the "steep trail" comes about 200 meters later, after a gradual descend & flat stretch.
I was just in the mood for a b&w. I would like for there to be a little bit more of the trails's width in it, but I was trying to keep the under-constructon information center building out of the shot. Still, I like the way it came out & I think it captures the seemingly false warning well.

this was taken at Fort Montgomery, NY (along the Hudson River, not the lake), where the boat photos were also taken.
(if this doesn't make sense, I apologize. I just had my teeth pulled and I'm on Vicoden right now. :pills: :D)

ooh.... that reminds me. i need to get more BW photos out, its been a while since i did that. but in any case, good job!

My feet hit the ground as the horns did sound, my hand shot forward as the drums beat down. Their faces did light at this incredible sight!

thank you! black and white photos are awesome, especially when the color is just a little bit too much. like, i have a color shot of this sign as well, and the greens just weren't working with the red in the sign.

& i'm glad the description was understandable but i will admit, i edited out the typos a few minutes after posting.

i have a colored photo of the sign/surrounding area, but the lighting was a bit off so the greens were a little more on the yellow side, and the red lettering on the side just looked funny, so i chose my black and white version instead.
